You should sleep on your side in a curled-up position if you suffer from this condition.

If you have a herniated disc, then it may be best for you to sleep on your stomach. Some people are also able to get relief by sleeping on their side in a curled up position.

Degenerative Disc Disease

You can sleep on your side. You may also want to put a pillow in between your stomach/hips and the mattress.

How to Maintain Sleep Hygiene

Not only will you need to sleep in the proper position but you will also need to have the appropriate sleeping habits. Do not use electronics before you go to bed and try to avoid taking naps during the day. It is also a good idea to talk to a chiropractor if you struggle to sleep properly.

Choose the Right Pillow And Mattress

Your preference and comfort will determine the type of pillow and mattress that is right for you. Some people prefer a hard mattress while others prefer a soft mattress. You may also want to use a contoured pillow to take the pressure off of your neck.
